Reston, VA -September 6, 2017 – myx, Inc. is proud of its family of team members every day, for their support to the local communities in which we reside and work. Since the founding of Amyx in 1999, members of our team have continually volunteered their time, effort, and resources to support charities, major causes, and relief efforts. These often take different forms and varieties, and in light of last week’s significant Hurricane disaster, the Amyx Family rose up again to help those in need.
We have always believed that our work with the US Government was meaningful. That has never been more apparent than recently. As part of our support to United States Transportation Command (TRANSCOM), many Amyx associates are supporting efforts to pick up the pieces left behind by Hurricane Harvey, as TRANSCOM is a vital link in the supply chain supporting relief efforts. Specifically, our team has developed a Common Operating Picture that provides a tool for the TRANSCOM Leadership to visualize how their foot print fits with that of FEMA, NORTHCOM, the States of Texas and Louisiana, and helps to manage the complexities tied to critical infrastructure, flooding and port closures. Meanwhile members of other Amyx contracts have been mobilized, as part of their Military Service.
Demonstrating that true charity isn’t limited to a one-time event, our teams across the country continue to support our communities in other ways. Our team at Scott Air Force Base participated in “Meals for a Million, St. Louis,” which helped package meals for starving people in the St. Louis area as well as for food to be taken to Houston. On top of that, employees from around the country raised nearly $2,500 to be donated to the American Red Cross.
