Amyx wins $10 million contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide Program Management Support for the Integrated Data Environment / Global Transportation Convergence, (IGC) transition.

Amyx, Inc. was awarded a contract by the DLA to provide Program Management support to the IGC Program Management Office. Under this program Amyx will provide services to DLA and the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) for functional, technical, and management support required for the development and implementation of the IGC capability.

Amyx will provide oversight, on behalf of the Government, for the successful convergence of the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) and Global Transportation Network (GTN) programs into the IGC. The IGC will create a single data exchange between DLA and USTRANSCOM for consistent access to common, authoritative data, business standards, and information. Convergence will increase logistics information sharing across the DOD, providing improved reliability and responsiveness of data exchange and enabling enhanced capabilities. Capitalizing on the core competencies of each organization and leveraging existing systems convergence will eliminate redundancy, streamline access to data, and optimize resources; enabling faster application development in support of informed and agile decision making.

The ultimate vision of IGC is to provide supply chain, distribution, and transportation information fusion through common integrated data and services to enable development of cohesive solutions for users across the DOD. IGC will provide a single point of access to data within DLA and USTRANSCOM, and between DLA/USTRANSCOM and external systems; ensuring consistent access to common, authoritative logistics data, business rules, and reliable information. The IGC net-centric architecture provides patterns for design, development, deployment, and management of a loosely coupled application infrastructure.

In his comments on the win, Scott Amey, Amyx's President and CEO stated, The convergence of the IDE and GTN programs will establish common integrated data services that will enable development of applications which will provide the Combatant Commands, Services, DOD, and other Federal agencies a cohesive solution for the management of supply, distribution, and transportation information. Amyx is proud to serve the Defense Logistics Agency and the United States Transportation Command on this important initiative.
