Satya Akula joins Amyx, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer



Alexandria, Va., August 31, 2009 — Scott Amey, President and CEO announced today that Mr. Satya Akula has joined Amyx as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer (COO). He was the founder and former CEO of AC Technologies, Inc. based in Fairfax, VA. Mr. Akula set the strategy, acquired major customers, and initiated quality practices to grow AC Technologies Inc, to a 400 person, $60 Million IT company. He led the capture of new business with the US Air Force, US Army, DISA, US Postal Service, Veterans Administration, Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Commerce, Department of Treasury, and the Federal Communications Commission. When AC Technologies was purchased by PEC Solutions, which in turn was purchased by Nortel Government Solutions, Satya stayed on to serve as the President of Nortel’s ISS Sector, with responsibility for annual revenues that exceeded $100 Million.


Mr. Akula received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering degree from Osmania University in Hyderabad India. Later he received Master of Science degrees in Engineering and Management at the University of Maryland.
