Amyx Supports the Oversees Troops

Amyx Capitol Area employees reached out to local service people currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  For the second year, as a part of the annual summer picnic, Amyx employees packed and sent 30 boxes of food, toiletries and miscellaneous items to Service Members from Northern Virginia deployed overseas.  Amyx also donated items and provided the postage to get the boxes into the hands of the soldiers.

In addition to the goodies, all the packages included many notes of thanks and artwork provided by some of the younger Amyx family members!  The boxes have been mailed and the troops will be enjoying the treats very soon.

Amyx worked in partnership with the Neighbors Foundation, a local not-for-profit organization who supports the troops (http://neighborsfoundation.org), on this community outreach program.  We’ll be thinking of soldiers opening goody boxes and sharing with their buddies.
